Fun fact: I went wine tasting in California for my 21st bday and I didn’t even like wine at that point. Glad to say one year later my taste buds have matured lol.

Also, last summer when I went to Italy, I never had wine once there. We were in a region with lots of beer, so I simply never ordered it🤷🏽‍♀️ kinda regret that

My honest thoughts: I did not love this city & it was not my vibe. BUT I still had a decent time so check out some of my highlights down below 👇

Eats:
1. Brass Tacks - this cafe/coffee shop was adorable and super affordable. Their breakfast tacos were delish! (📸 1 & 2)

2. Common Bond Montrose location. This was my favorite place I ate! The food was fire and they had a bakery & coffee shop! (📸 3)

3. Truckyard - this bar was super unique. It was like a beer hall and had food trucks, two bars, lots of outdoor seating, and a FERRIS WHEEL (📸 4 & 5)

What I did 🌞:

1. Montrose Neighborhood - this place had multiple thrift stores, beautifully painted buildings, and was very relaxed. I also heard there are some good bars/cocktail lounges! (📸 6-8)

2. NASA’s Space Center - I am not a science girly so this was honestly very boring to me. But cool to have been once! (📸 9)

Where I stayed 🏨:

1. Marriott Marquis Downtown - the highlight of this place was DEF the pool 🤩

Nashville Recap - be sure to save this for later 👇

What I did:
1. Had drinks at the Greenhouse Bar — yes a bar literally in a green house. This place was stunning, but it isn’t downtown, so it’s a little bit of a drive (pic 1&2)

2. Went to Broadway St and Printer’s Alley. These are basically just streets that are LINED with bars. Personally this is not my thing, it’s very crowded and all the bars play country music. However it was still fun to go for a little bit! (Pic 3&4)

What I ate:
1. Brunch at Von Elrod’s 🤩 I had fried chicken biscuits and the B.A.M (big a** mimosa). You guys this place was SO good! It’s located in Germantown, they are LGBTQ+ friendly, they don’t only play country music and the service was amazing @vonelrods (pic 5&6)

2. Another plug for All People Coffee. They have BLUE MATCHA 🤩 also their food was really affordable and delicious (pic 7&8)

3. Bavarian Beirhaus in Opry Mills Mall - delicious German food (pic 9)

Where I stayed:
1. Gaylord Opryland Hotel - this place was massive, stunning, and in walking distance from a mall and THE Grand Ole Opry (I truly didn’t realize that iconic place was right next to a mall lmao)

I just stayed in it for the first time and it was such a dream. Check below to see some tips for your first time visit:

1. It is MASSIVE. get the Gaylord Hotel app and it will tell you all about the restaurants, directions, and misc information you may need

2. There are so many food options, I believe close to 15? They range from marketplace delis to steakhouses and everything in between

3. There are plenty of places to get your morning coffee 😉

4. There are multiple pools so don’t forget your swimsuit

5. You don’t have to be staying at the hotel to walk around! Anyone can visit. Keep in mind it’s about 20 minutes from downtown Nashville

I heard about this place from @wanderingplatetravel and my family and I loved it so much we went to it twice this weekend. There truly is no better thing than finding coffee shops that feel like a cozy homey vibe and that’s exactly what All People is.

I had the Irish Latte which was Irish cream, pistachio, and cinnamon and wow was it amazing. It is definitely at the top of my list of best coffee I’ve ever had 🤩

Some highlights of Kansas City, MO 💫 👇

1. @messengercoffee - this place was AMAZING. The coffee was delicious and they even have a rooftop part which features amazing city views

2. @irondistrict - I love a good unique discrict and that’s exactly what this is. It’s a few restaurants and shops that are made from old shipping containers 🤩

3. Walking around the grounds of the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art (it’s free!)

4. Getting some Kansas City BBQ. I had the Buffalo chicken Zman at @joeskc and I’m literally still thinking about it

5. Visiting Kansas City’s Union Station! This is one of my favorite places just due to the architecture alone

A funny AllTrails story to celebrate National Walking Day:

Has anyone else been personally victimized by the hiking app AllTrails? (I see people talk about it on tiktok all the time so I know I’m not the only one)

Basically my friends and I went to Bryce Canyon NP in Utah and we attempted to follow a moderate hike that said 3 miles… let me just tell you now it was not 3 miles. We are guessing it was about 10 miles and this was one of the first times I had really hiked in a national park and I was unwell and dying. It was a miracle I made it out of that park! We were walking downhill for about 1.5 hours if that tells you anything (that means it felt like we spent double that time having to go up lol)

It was difficult but I lived to tell the tale and I wouldn’t have it any differently!

Shoutout to all the people who make sure everyone is always fed on trips 🙌🏽

One thing about me is anytime I travel I ALWAYS bring a bag full of snacks. This upcoming month I have a ton of Midwest road trips, so in order to save some money and prevent hanger, I will be having a snack bin in the car 🤠

A tiny factor of what travel preparation calls for, but something I find so necessary 🫶
