Savannah, Georgia knows how to do a lot of things right… but one thing they are REALLY good at is their food and drink 🥂

I definitely ate & drank my way through the city & I forgot to take videos of a lot of the places. Honorable mentions include: the chicken and waffles from Moon River Brewing (probably my favorite meal), tacos from Chamacos on Tybee Island, coffee from Dottie’s, and cookies from Byrd’s.

If you are a foodie, enjoy happy hours and good drinks, then you need to visit Savannah ASAP. Have you been to Savannah? If so what was your favorite thing you ate?

—Where I stayed: Riu Vallarta—

✨ This was my first time in Puerto Vallarta, MX (the resort was technically in another state called Nuevo Vallarta in Nayarit)

✨the Riu felt safe, it was very clean, staff was incredibly friendly, and the drinks were so good

✨ there were 4 restaurants onsite, 1 buffet, and multiple bar locations - including a swim up bar

—First timers thoughts of PV, Mexico—

✨ you HAVE to get out of the resort zone and go into town or take a day trip

✨ The beaches were soft sand and the water was dark blue

✨ I did prefer this resort over a resort I have previously stayed in Cancun

—Tips if you want to come here—

✨ bring a handheld fan… it was super hot

✨ bring cash to tip all the people who provide you a service. Not expected, but greatly appreciated. Take care of the local people when you travel!

✨learn the basics of Spanish. The people there were very appreciative when you show a little effort

If you are heading to PV, you need to go to Las Calletas. It is an area only reachable by boat and Vallarta Adventure offers different boat options.

This trip includes a round trip ferry ride, activities, lunch, and all inclusive drinks. Some of the activities include:
🏖️ kayaking & paddle boarding
🏖️ zip lining & banana boat tubing
🏖️ mezcal tasting & cooking class

Tip: if you are staying in the Nuevo Vallarta area and taking the ferry from there, just know it is a longgggg boat ride roundtrip because they make a stop in Puerto Vallarta as well.

5 things you can’t miss this summer in Door County 🍄🌿

1. Go to the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal Lighthouse for cute pictures, beautiful sunrises, and a quiet getaway

2. Visit one of the 5 state parks - I frequent Peninsula for hiking, biking, kayaking, and Nicolet beach. I also frequent Newport for quiet and calm walks as well as watching stars. Newport is an international dark sky park!

3. Visit Anderson Dock (and the art gallery inside) - great for watching sunsets and if you go don’t forget to bring paint or a sharpie to write your name on the barn!

4. Grab a drink - there are so many great coffee shops, breweries, wineries, and distilleries. Some of my favorites in the summer are Island Cider Orchard, Al Johnson’s beer garden, One Barrel Brewing, and Kick Ash Coffee.

5. Stop by Door County Coffee and try their new coffee flavors, their new cold brew shandy’s, and shop in their store. (If you aren’t interested in buying coffee online, use code ARI20 for 20% off) @doorcountycoffee

Little moments from the most relaxing trip to Mackinac Island, Michigan 🥰💖

Sometimes I forget how much natural beauty exists in not only the United States, but also the Midwest alone. Getting to Mackinac Island is a little bit of work, but the beauty makes up for it.

It’s about 6 hours from Chicago, 8 hours from Indianapolis, 3.5 hours from Grand Rapids, & 4 hours from Detroit if you are looking to fly into major airports.

There are no cars on the island, so you have to take a ferry. You can bring bikes or rent them on the island, however it is not necessary.

I plan to make a post of everything I did in a Mackinac this week, but let me know if you have any questions you want answered!

Have you been here? It’s relatively hidden, but if you ask any local they will tell you exactly where it is. It’s free, pretty easy to find with instructions, and insanely gorgeous.

Happy National Wine Day to those who celebrate 😉🍷

Fun fact: I went wine tasting in California for my 21st bday and I didn’t even like wine at that point. Glad to say one year later my taste buds have matured lol.

Also, last summer when I went to Italy, I never had wine once there. We were in a region with lots of beer, so I simply never ordered it🤷🏽‍♀️ kinda regret that
